Objective:

The "overnight" function was set up for you during installation, so all you need to do here is understand other available options.

Enable other options as desired.

 

Nightly functions are controlled through the Microsoft Windows Task Scheduler.  When you schedule nightly functions in FocalPoint, what you are really doing is using FocalPoint to create scheduled tasks for you in the Windows Task Scheduler.

 

The following nightly functions may be scheduled to run overnight.  The times that these tasks are scheduled for should not be changed unless directed by Visum to do so.

 

Nightly Reports

The following reports will print if the nightly reports function is enabled.  This scheduled task defaults to run at 6am.

 

1.Cash Drawer report (B-2-2 from the main menu) - Will print for the day 8 hours prior to the time it is run.

2.Late Equipment report(B-2-4 from the main menu) - Will print for the current day.

3.Daily Register (B-2-6 from the main menu) - Will print for the day 8 hours prior to the time it is run.

4.Reservations report (B-2-5 from the main menu) - Will print for the current day.

5.Delivery/Pick Up report (B-2-3 from the main menu) - Will print for the current day.

 

Nightly Billing

Any orders that are subject to nightly bill will do so if the Nightly Billing function is enabled.  This scheduled task defaults to run at 10pm.

 

This function will look at the Billing Cycle, Bill Days 1 and Bill Days 2 field of each order and "monthly bill" (also referred to as "cycle bill") any orders that are eligible.  See the Monthly Billing section of this help file for more information on monthly billing.

 

Overnight

The overnight nightly function should be scheduled for you at the time FocalPoint is installed.

 

Auto Reservation Convert

You may enable this function if you want all reservations to be converted to orders the night before the reservation is to start.
