Rental Contracts in FocalPoint show up to three rental rates (Daily, Weekly, 4-Week, for example).  You may control which rates show on a contract based on the estimated length of the rental contract.  For example, if your customer estimates that the items being rental will only be out for a day, you may choose to print the minimum, hourly, and daily rates on the rental contract.  The customer in this example clearly does not benefit much from seeing the 4-week rate on the order.

By default, when FocalPoint is installed there is one Order Rate Description set up, which covers all contracts with estimated rental lengths from 1 to 998 days.   You may edit any Order Rate Description record by double clicking on the appropriate record on the list screen, or add a new Order Rate Description record by clicking on the "Add New Rate Header" button.

Enter the number of days that this Order Rate Description should be used for.  In the above example, this field would be set to '1'.

Description

The three description fields along the lower left side of the screen will dictate exactly the text that prints on the contract.

Rate 1, Rate 2, and Rate 3

These fields are associated with the description fields.  The first description is associated with Rate 1, the second with Rate 2, and so on.  Use the drop down lists for these fields to choose the appropriate field from the Rate Table file that is associated with the respective description.
