Cross reference functionality has been added to the merchandise file. To set up cross referencing in the merchandise file, click on the cross reference file button on the merchandise list screen, 2-3 from the main menu.

 

 

You will be presented with a screen where you can first select the primary merchandise item in this field on the top of the screen, labeled “Referenced Item”, then double-click any items in the below list screen to cross-reference any number of merchandise items to the referenced item. FocalPoint will create cross-references for all of the items that you associate with one another.

 

 

Usage:

 

In the Item Lookup screen, 1-2 from the main menu, you can right click on a merchandise item to see cross references. The same option exists when you are adding items from within an order or a work order.

 

 

Once you select "Cross Reference" a screen will appear where you can select from the items that are cross referenced to the item you originally right-clicked on.
