In FocalPoint, Credits are available to allow you to give a credit back to a customer on orders that were generated at the front counter. There are many different types of credits that you can create in FocalPoint, including:

•Credits that allow you to return sold merchandise or rental items

•Credits that allow you to reduce the price of a sale or rental, if you overcharged your customer, for example

•Credits against tax, if you charged a tax exempt customer tax

•Credits that write off the balance of an unpaid order, for times when customer short-paid you by a few cents, or if the open balance is considered “bad debt”.
